Location: Pheonix, AZ
Time: Sunset
The sunset was beautiful. I was walking on the grass. Every step I took made a mini splash. N and Baby giggled at everything. I looked at the sun, joined hands in a Namaste, and said, ‘Thank you.’
I have had palpitations since the weekend… somewhat since the last year. The world is in a very dark place. Countries have been destroyed. Economies have crashed. Babies were butchered, women were raped, innocents were killed, and families were burned alive. Death came from water, sea, and air. I have not been able to turn off the news. Hearts sink every time the death toll increases. This could happen to any of us.
In many parts of the world, a roof over heads, food on the table once a day, and clean water are hard to find. It is a luxury to be able to embrace your family. Some of us could give whatever we have to be able to talk to a loved one. Testimonies of families looking for their missing ones have been heartbreaking, to say the least. The world is breaking into pieces and needs to be superglued together.
Where is the world heading? As a human being, is safety and sovereignty too much to ask for? Is it too much to ask human beings to be human?
All the power, strength, courage, and support to the ones who need it. Godspeed.
